Local Transport: From the resort of Pragelato you can take the cable car to some of the other Alpine resort, alternatively the quaint village of Pragelato, 20 minutes walk from the hotel, is served by the suburban public service line 275, connecting Torino, Pinerolo, and the Val Chisone municipalities. A comprehensive network of public buses serves Silva, Predazzo, Cavallese and Campitello offering visitors the opportunity to visit some of the other well known villages. Val di Fassa offers fantastic opportunities for walkers, ranging from the leisurely stroller at valley level to the intrepid hiker tracking some of the more challenging mountains. The local Tourist Board offices are ready at hand to assist and provide free walking maps, which indicate mountain refuges and designated pathways. Selva is a true paradise for walker, bikers and fixed rope routes, all amidst a fantastic alpine flora & fauna scenario. Average ability walker can trek up the Sassolungo, one of the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites. In the Piedmont region, Pragelato is conveniently located close to magnificent National parks offering good infrastructure and a variety of well marked walking trails. SELVA Whilst in Selva take a short bus ride to the larger resort of Ortisei and stroll around the charming square and pastel houses and elegant boutiques. Haha is also a must see mountain range in Selva and a paradise for hikers particularly the vertiginous gorge. Other adventure such as fixed rope routes and the Marmolada Glacier can be explored accompanied by local registered guides. Gondolas and cable cars will normally be operational from June to September. VAL DI FASSA Val di Fassa is unrivalled for hikers and offers a variety of opportunities for casual walkers and intrepid hikers all surrounded by amazing scenery. Local tourist offices is at hand to provide free walking maps of well marked mountains trails and the opportunity to climb the mighty Marmolada range. The mountain network is perfect with over 100 mountains refuges and refreshment stops placed along the way. Campitello offers this and much more, including a driving range for golf enthusiasts, mountain bikes for hire, squash, tennis and horse riding. For those seeking pump adrenaline there is paragliding and serious mountain climbing. VAL DI FIEMME Val di Fiemme promotes a new summer holiday concept to those who love movement in Nature: fitness and relaxation in the open air with Nordic Walking, a nonstrenuous aerobic activity, to be practiced in an uncontaminated natural environment, regenerating body and mind. Fitness and relaxation in the open air, with Nordic Walking one of the most complete sports disciplines: the new and exciting method of movement in nature.
