St Moritz lies on the southern side of the Alps near the Italian border. In the summer it's lovely lakeland scenery and the legendary `champagne climate' provides a beautiful setting for a host of activities.
INFORMATION Airport: Zürich. Local Transport: The six different mountain areas can be accessed by an excellent network of mountain lifts linked by a good local bus service. Train services also operate to nearby Italy. Fly Luggage: Operates to St Moritz. Transfers: 2nd Class rail transfers are included. 1st Class rail travel is available for a supplement of £16. Transfer time is 4 hours. The high valley of the Engadine embraces the famous, sophisticated resort of St Moritz. With its six different areas for climbing and hiking, it is one of Switzerland's most beautiful and varied summer holiday regions. The bustling resort is superb for shopping with elegant stores and designer boutiques and the town comes alive at night with plenty of options for amazing dining experiences and memorable evenings. A must during your stay is the funicular and cable car up to the Piz-Nair for a 360 degree view of the Upper Engadine and its glistening lake.
