Situated on a rocky promontory at Glacis on the north-west coast of Mahé overlooking a sheltered white-sand cove, this well located resort affords excellent views and good snorkelling. Just ten minutes from the famous and lively Beau Vallon Bay, Sunset Beach affords an excellent location for those seeking easy access to explore the rest of the island as well as a beautiful beach, good swimming and great snorkelling. The lobby opens out to the restaurant area, which filters to the bar where guests can enjoy stunning views of the Indian Ocean with Silhouette Island in the distance. Cream hues combine with ornately hand carved wooden furniture, model ships and richly coloured fabrics throughout the public area while a natural granite boulder rock pierces the floor with great style in the bar. The resort's swimming pool is situated on the promontory itself, whilst on the beach, snorkelling is excellent. The rooms at Sunset Beach are arranged in small groups, allowing you a feeling of privacy. All rooms are decorated in a fusion of creams, animal prints and rich woods with large marble bathrooms that feature airconditioning and private terrace. Deluxe rooms boast sea views, while the ten Junior suites have a separate seating area as well as lovely ocean views.
