CHAMONIX Chamonix has long had a tradition of mountaineering and skiing and is a bustling, lively resort that lies in the shadow of the magnificent Mont Blanc. The ski area offers some of the wildest off-piste terrain in France whilst the attractive town offers plenty of excursions for non-skiers including trips to the infamous Aiguille du Midi for unsurpassed views of Mont Blanc. COURCHEVEL 1850 A chic resort of beautiful hotels and beautiful people, Courchevel 1850 offers some of the best skiing in the Three Valleys. The sheltered tree lined slopes at resort level are perfect for beginners whilst experts will relish the challenges of the Saulire and intermediates will be in their element on the well groomed runs. There are superb mountain restaurants, great boutiques, sophisticated bars and a good range of activities off the slopes too making this the ultimate choice for many.
MEGÈVE Megève is a delightfully sophisticated town with a charming old centre and pretty alpine ski area with often uncrowded slopes that are largely amongst the trees. Exclusive hotels and elegant restaurants and classy bars add to the upmarket air of this Savoyarde town. Only an hour from Geneva, Megève is a wonderful choice for a winter wonderland holiday due to the superb range of nonskiing activities on offer including scenic flights over Mont Blanc. MÉRIBEL & MOTTARET Located in the very heart of the Three Valleys the pretty resorts of Méribel and Mottaret are superbly positioned for skiers and boarders that wish to explore the vast area. Chocolate box chalets and small attractive hotels are nestled in the valley and lifts radiate on both sides. The nightlife is lively with plenty of bars and a decidedly British feel and there are plenty of restaurants to enjoy. Non skiers can also travel to the top of the mountains to meet friends for lunch or enjoy the views.
VAL D'ISÈRE & TIGNES Val d'Isère is legendary and rightly so. The skiing is superb being part of the excellent Espace Killy ski area that is linked to neighbouring Tignes. Advanced skiers and boarders flock to the area to enjoy the immense off-piste opportunities whilst intermediates can revel in the vast terrain. Val d'Isère is an eclectic mix of traditional chalets and high quality hotels with a lively nightlife, whilst high altitude Tignes is perfect for dedicated skiers and boarders seeking unrivalled access to the fantastic area. VAL THORENS Val Thorens offers the ultimate in doorstep skiing with runs criss-crossing through the town and is Europe's highest ski resort. Although purpose built, the resort is an attractive blend of hotels, chalets and apartments with superb snow-sure skiing and boarding for all abilities. From wide open cruising to challenging off-piste there is plenty to enjoy as well as the huge Three Valleys to explore.
