Founded in the 1950's, Vail Village is part of a large resort which has grown rapidly over the years. Built in the style of a pseudo-Tirolean village the chalets and bierkellers all have a touch of the American style. The Vail back bowls area includes the famous Blue Sky Basin which houses a vast array of intermediate slopes and great powder opportunities.

BEGINNERS Excellent nursery slopes can be found at resort level and higher altitudes. Eagles Nest beginner park is one of the world's largest mountain top teaching areas. INTERMEDIATES Lots of really enticing long wide runs especially in the back bowls. They can be challenging, steep and exciting for any intermediate skier or boarder. Confident intermediates will enjoy Blue Sky Basin's clearly marked blue runs. ADVANCED There are fantastic opportunities for expert skiers. and riding, and Blue Sky Basin provides superb off-piste. APRÈS SKI The après ski scene is fantastic with a choice of lively bars, many with live music.
