The attractive village of Seefeld is a winter paradise for both skiers and non-skiers alike. The pretty, traffic-free centre is lined with upmarket shops, restaurants, cafes and a casino. Seefeld offers a wealth of activities including some of Austrias best cross-country tracks, and also offers some wonderful quiet ski areas to explore.

LIFT PASS The lift pass covers all lifts in Seefield plus Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, Region GarmischPartenkirchen and Mittenwald. BEGINNERS Seefeld is perfect for beginners. With broad, gentle slopes at Geigenbühels beginners area, close to the village. INTERMEDIATES The Gschwandkopf is good for lower intermediates with gentle cruising runs through the trees. Rosshütte offers more challenging runs and boarders can also try out the half pipe and snowpark. ADVANCED Whilst expert skiers and boarders may find the area limiting, there are some serious off-piste challenges from the Härmelekopf and the runs at the top of the Seefelderjoch offers some exhilarating runs. CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING Seefeld is highly recommended for crosscountry skiers with an extensive network of trails which are amongst the best in the Alps. 82
APRÈS SKI Seefelds nightlife is sophisticated with many après ski bars, fashionable bars and a casino. There is a wide choice of restaurants offering everything from traditional Tirolean fare to international cuisine. ACTIVITIES There is plenty to do away from the slopes in Seefeld. The village centre offers many stylish shops and boutiques and the Olympia Sports Centre features indoor and outdoor pools and an ice-skating rink. There are also over 143km of winter walking paths, regular train services to Innsbruck, excursions to Salzburg and Bavaria, sleigh rides, snowshoeing, bowling, indoor golf and floodlit skiing. FAMILIES Seefeld is a great resort for families. The ski school offers childcare for children from 18 months to 8 years. Gizzis Childrens Club at Geigenbühel is a nonskiing kindergaten with indoor and outdoor play. Open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. Approximately ¬30 per half day. Children under 6 years ski free when accompanied by a parent.
