BEGINNERS Small nursery slopes can be found at the bottom of Schmittental and at the Areitalm above Schüttdorf, and there are gentle pistes at the left hand side of the Schmittenhöhe bowl. INTERMEDIATES There are long and testing runs for intermediates, from Areitalm to Schüttdorf and the wide Sonnkogel runs are great for carving. Just 25 minutes away by free ski bus, Kaprun offers a wide range of intermediate runs including the Kitzsteinhorn glacier for guaranteed snow. Borders can also check out the terrain parks and enjoy some great free riding terrain including the bowls on the glacier. ADVANCED There are a selection of challenging runs on the Schmittenhöhe and some powder runs through the trees after a fresh snow fall and some of the longer reds can offer some challenging moguls. 88 Experts will also find superb powder on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. APRÈS SKI Lively après ski with excellent nightlife including a wide range of cafés, bars and nightclubs. The popular Hanss schnapps bar at the top of the Schmittenhöhe is the in place for après ski. There are also plenty of restaurants offering local and international cuisine. ACTIVITIES Ice-skating, tobogganing, horse riding, sleigh rides, parapenting, curling, bowling, indoor tennis, plenty of shopping, and excursions to Salzburg and Vienna.
