San Cassiano is a gem resort frequented by classy clientele and affluent Italian families conveniently linked to the Sella Ronda circuit and is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers. LIFT PASS San Cassiano is served by the Super Dolomites ski area and the ski lifts are approximately 300 meters away from the Rosa Alpina Hotel. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle bus to and from the ski lift stations. The Super Dolomite pass covers an enormous ski terrain with resorts such as Arabba. BEGINNERS Beginners can enjoy snow sure learning on the gentle nursery slopes and blue slopes in San Cassiano. INTERMEDIATES The Super Dolomites is fantastic for intermediates with 130km of well-groomed slopes, particularly around Arabba and Corvara where the terrain becomes more interesting with plenty or cruising runs. ADVANCED Linking to the Sella Ronda circuit, there are also a good variety of more challenging runs, like the world cup breaks down into Val Gardena, La Villa and Arabba, with super power skiing and excellent heavily mogulled runs. 70
APRÈS SKI San Cassiano has a quiet après ski scene, comprising of several gourmet Michelin star restaurants, sophisticated bars and a few elegant boutiques, although as the resorts in Alta Badia, nearby La Villa Corvara and Colfosco, offer a more lively cosmopolitan scene. There are also a number of other amenities including swimming pools, ice rinks and sports centres. ACTIVITIES Apart from the local sport centre, swimming pool and ice rink, the place serves as a beloved destination for hikers and mountaineers alike as the rock faces of the Courturines, La Varella, Settsass and Lagazuoi mountains are really worth exploring. There is also an interesting hike to the Russian chapel near Passo Valparola.
