Banff is a large bustling resort, set amid the towering peaks of the majestic Canadian Rockies, in the heart of Banff National Park. Nearby Lake Louise is a stunning sight and the resort has a quieter, laid back air. The three separate ski areas of Mt. Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise, accessible by ski bus, offer fantastic snow-sure slopes for all abilities.

LIFT PASS Pass covers Banff Mt. Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise and free shuttle buses. BEGINNERS The excellent ski school will soon have you whizzing down the slopes at Mt. Norquay and on the easy greens at Sunshine. Lake Louise offers a wide nursery area at the base and plenty of easy greens to explore. INTERMEDIATES All three areas offer plenty of scope for intermediates from cruising to fabulous powder, the choice is endless. At Lake Louise there are more challenging runs in the back bowls, whilst Sunshine Village is perfect for practising your turns. ADVANCED Great powder and steep runs and bumps galore, ensure plenty of satisfying skiing and boarding for experts. Try the double black diamond runs at Goats-Eye or the back bowls of Lake Louise for some serious challenges. Freeriders will also enjoy the natural ledges, jumps and fabulous tree runs. 122
APRÈS SKI Banff is home to some popular, lively bars and clubs and plenty of restaurants with a wide range of cuisine. Nightlife at Lake Louise is more relaxed with a few bars and restaurants and a weekly Torchlit Descent. ACTIVITIES Snowshoeing, wildlife walks, ice-canyon walks, husky dog sledding, natural hot springs, cross-country skiing, floodlit skiing, heli-skiing, ice-hockey matches, ice-skating plus hundreds of shops in Banff.
