LIFT PASS Pass covers all ski lifts of Engelberg. BEGINNERS Nursery slopes are on the edge of the village and there are some wide, well prepared, gentle runs on Gerschnialp. INTERMEDIATES This ski region is best for intermediate levels as most of the runs down to the village are blue. The red runs are between Stand and Trubsee and on the northfacing slopes of the Jochpass plus a couple in the Brunni area. ADVANCED A couple of prepared black runs descending from the Glacier and some excellent off-piste options including the formidable Laub run. APRÈS SKI Après ski is informal and concentrated to a few good hotels and bars. Many restaurants have a wide choice of culinary delights. A disco and casino offer live entertainment. The Yucatan music bar is a must for a lively late night.
ACTIVITIES Cross-country skiing, flying fox, air boarding, paragliding, terrain park at Jochpass, build an igloo, horse-drawn sleigh ride, snowshoe tours, a two mile toboggan run, winter hiking and Nordic walking paths plus a leisure centre with indoor pool, sauna, tennis, fitness room and ice rink. FAMILIES The new day nursery and kindergarten located at the Tiltis cableway station provides supervision by the hour or the whole day from Monday to Friday for babies and children of all ages. There is even supervision available for kids after ski lessons and an entertainment programme from 2.30pm. The ski school offers state of the art teaching techniques to provide children with the best possible training whilst having fun with childrens facilities at Brunni or at Klostermatte in the village.
