This newly designed hotel, right in the heart of Zermatt's main street, is for the discerning traveller who requires luxurious, contemporary accommodation and a wealth of dining and entertainment options. The hotel was completely renovated in 2007 but has kept the authenticity, originality and uniqueness of the building whilst upgrading the restaurant and bar facilities plus a new addition of a fabulous spa area with whirlpool, sauna and steambath. The Spaghetti and Pizza factory offers exquisite Italian dishes plus there is the Broken Tex Mex Grill, the Brown Cow snack bar and the first class Ristorante Portofino with 13 Gault Millau points. The Hotel Post is renowned for being Zermatt's hot spot when it comes to entertainment, be it live music in The Pink or just relaxing in the cosy Lounge Bar. The Brown Cow pub is a busy meeting place after a day on the slopes. An extremely efficient superior first class hotel in every respect, recognised for its high levels of service and cuisine. This casually, elegant hotel is centrally located on the lively main village street. Part of the Seiler Hotels, the Schweizerhof, offers excellent facilities and plenty of space. The vast lounge and bar provide a warm atmosphere with comfy sofas and a pianist most evenings. Meals include a hot and cold buffet breakfast and a five-course dinner can be enjoyed in the elegant dining room. As a real benefit you will receive a credit voucher towards dining at one of the hotels à la carte restaurants including the Schwyzer Stübli, Da Mario serving Italian specialities and Prato Borni offering meat fondue plus a selection of other Seiler hotel restaurants at the sister hotels, Monte Rosa, Mont Cervin and Riffelalp Resort (reservations are required and dine around menu served). The facilities at the superb new spa Sempervivum' include a large indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna and steamroom. There is also an array of beauty treatments and massages available. The supervised Nico Kids Club is available for children aged 2-8 years from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (lunch extra charge locally). All the rustic style rooms are bright and very well furnished with bath and/or shower, radio, minibar, television and balcony (Single rooms do not have guaranteed balcony and have shower only). The Standard rooms face the mountain. Junior suites are larger with a seating area, facing the hotel's gardens and are ideal for families.
