day 6 thu periyar
A leisurely drive to the wildlife reserve of Lake Periyar through some of India's most stunning landscapes. Arrive at the Tree Tops hotel for two nights where a shared scenic boat ride across Lake Periyar has been arranged, perhaps spotting elephants and other fauna by the waters' edge. Approx. 90 miles (3-4 hours).

day 7 fri periyar
Today has been left free for you to enjoy the rich, natural surrounds of Periyar. Perhaps partake in an optional tour of a local spice plantation or an optional educational trek in the wildlife reserve, accompanied by an experienced naturalist.
day 2 sun goa / kerala
Arrive in Goa where you will be met by our experienced local team and transferred to a nearby beach hotel for a rest until your flight to Kerala with Indian Airlines later in the evening. Overnight at the Hotel Fortune in Calicut.

day 8 sat houseboat
A morning drive to Pallathuruthy to board your houseboat around midday. Explore the local backwaters in a reed covered, simply furnished houseboat. Accompanied by your own crew peacefully glide until dusk and enjoy dinner afloat. Overnight onboard. Approx. 90 miles (3-4 hours).
day 3 mon cochin
Morning drive to Cochin visiting en route the Sree Krishna Temple and the ornate Kerala Kalamandalam, a classical performing arts centre where your visit will include observing classes in progress. Later arrive at the Gokulam Park Inn with the rest of the day at leisure. Optional evening Kathakali Dance show is available locally. Approx. 139 miles (5-6 hours).

Disembark in the morning at the hotel jetty in Kumarakom for a one night stay at the Backwater Ripples. With the rest of the day at leisure, this is the ideal time to treat yourself to an optional Ayurvedic massage.
day 4 tue cochin
In the morning enjoy a fascinating city tour of Cochin, discovering the historic Fort Cochin area, the Jewish Synagogue, the Mattancherry Palace and St Francis Church, ending with a photo opportunity aside the elegant and hypnotic Chinese fishing nets. The rest of the day is at leisure. In the evening, hone your culinary skills with an optional visit to a traditional home for a cookery demonstration followed by dinner.
day 10 mon goa
After breakfast drive from Kumarakom to Cochin for your early afternoon flight to Goa with Indian Airlines. On arrival you will be met by our local representatives and be transferred to the hotel Golden Sands in Betalbatim for six nights.
day 5 wed munnar
Morning drive up through the Cardamon Hills to the old hill station of Munnar for one night at the Sienna Village. Freshen up then join an afternoon tour to a local tea plantation. Approx. 82 miles (3-4 hours).
day 16 sun goa / london
At leisure in the morning then in the afternoon transfer to the airport for your return flight with Monarch Airlines, arriving later the same day.
