INTRODUCTION CARIBBEAN JAMAICA One of the largest and most beautiful Caribbean islands of all Jamaica is a land of sugary white sands, blue waters, lush mountains and shimmering waterfalls. Exchange your vows in front of the sun as it sets in the background across the Caribbean Sea. GRENADA Heralded by many as the Spice Island, Grenada is a tranquil paradise of tropical mountain forests and beautiful beaches, cascading rivers and waterfalls. Marry under a traditional decorated arch on clear white sands and celebrate with a sunset champagne cruise for two. GRENADINES A string of pearls afloat on the sea of lapis lazuli, the Grenadines are superbly undeveloped, and supremely unspoilt. This is the Caribbean for the connoisseur and is ideal for those wedding couples seeking a sophisticated and unspoilt location to marry in. TOBAGO Tobago is an island for retreat and relaxation, unsophisticated simplicity with clear waters, colourful coral reefs and tropical beaches. This island is a haven for those who want to marry away from the hustle and bustle in a quieter, calmer place. BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS The BVIs are famous for their gorgeous beaches, amazing scenery and wonderful sunsets. If you would like to marry in a paradise island with superb beaches, then these islands are perfect, offering rest and relaxation in an idyllic location. ST KITTS & NEVIS Perhaps not as well known as other Caribbean islands, St Kitts and Nevis are perfect for those allured by the Caribbean but wanting to stay away from the crowds and for couples seeking an intimate location in the Caribbean to marry in. Kelly who works in the Kuoni Weddings Team and her husband Jeff chose to marry in beautiful Barbados surrounded by 24 of their closest friends and family after getting engaged there on a previous holiday. Here is Kellys story of her special day&. We chose to marry and stay at the Colony Club in Barbados based on colleagues recommendations with all of our other guests dotted around the island in hotels that suited their taste and budget. Our wedding was the only one taking place that day which was great as we were spoilt by the hotel and staff and made to feel really special. Karene, the hotel Wedding Coordinator really assisted us with local arrangements including organising a photographer, hair and make-up, steel band and private cocktail reception. Before the wedding day we had meetings at the hotel with the Minister, Maurice and our photographer, Eleanor who had been the photographer for Tiger Woods wedding in Barbados! It really helped to meet them beforehand so we knew what to expect. We had to visit Bridgetown to arrange our licence, which with a driver and car to take us there made the process really easy and quick - 30 minutes in total. The wedding took place on a perfect sunny day in the garden gazebo, which was decorated with flowers and ribbons to match my bridesmaids dresses. A private bar had been set up to the side where guests could enjoy a drink before the ceremony. The actual ceremony lasted approximately 20 minutes and this is where emotions ran high and where some of my best memories of the day took place. After the wedding we enjoyed more drinks and canapés as well as photos taken around the gardens and on the beach before having our evening reception meal at The Cliff restaurant. call 01306 747007 I www.kuoni.co.uk/weddings I see your travel agent 63
