At the southern end of the Whitsunday passage, Brampton Island is about 20 miles north east MacKay. Accessed by a 15 minute flight from MacKay airport. Transfers are only available in the morning, so please bear in mind that if you arrive in Mackay after 10am, you may need to stay overnight before going on to Brampton Island. A good resort with superb beaches and off shore snorkelling, ideal for those looking for a romantic island offering good value.
