Maun, the gateway to the Okavango, where you will transfer to your Sefofane (or similar) light aircraft ight to Stanley's Camp, your home for two nights. Set under ebony and sausage trees this classic camp of just eight tents is amidst 260,000 acres of private concession. Each tent has hand crafted antique wooden furniture, en suite bathrooms and is set on a raised deck with private terrace overlooking the bush. The main building has an intimate atmosphere and game viewing here is amongst the best in the Delta with game drives by day and night, plus viewing by mokoro canoe or on foot. DAY 4 After a hearty breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your 20 minute light aircraft Sefofane (or similar) ight to Chief's Camp. Located in the Mombo concession of the Moremi Game Reserve, the camp enjoys excellent game viewing year round. Twelve luxury tents are elegantly furnished with light canvas and local decorations, along with an en suite bathroom and a private terrace. The main lodge features a bar, shop, library and outside decking along with a beautiful, oasis like pool on the lower level. Spend two nights here enjoying the unique atmosphere of the Delta and the wealth of game by either canoe or 4x4 vehicle.

An exquisite lodge on the National Park border, Chobe Chilwero enjoys unequalled views of the ood plains, islands and as far as Namibia. DAY 8 Return to Kasane and then y to Maun for your Air Botswana ight to Johannesburg. Here y South African Airways overnight back to Heathrow. Alternatively y to Cape Town for three nights of colonial opulence at the famous Mount Nelson hotel in Cape Town in a Superior room (p147).
