DAY 1 South African Airways overnight ight from Heathrow
to Johannesburg. DAY 2 On arrival you will be met and given your personalised Co Pilot' pack with a detailed itinerary, maps, driving directions and places of interest, then proceed to the domestic terminal for your onward ight to Port Elizabeth. After collecting your hire car (included) drive approx. 45 minutes to Shamwari Game Reserve where you spend three nights in the luxurious Eagles Crag lodge. Restricted to over 16's only, the thatch, stone and glass lodge o ers privacy and tranquillity, with nine rooms boasting a private deck with plunge pool, indoor and outdoor showers, and oor to ceiling windows o ering superb views. Also on site is a dining room, lounge, library and cocktail bar. Your stay here will include all meals, local soft and alcoholic drinks, guided walks, and game drives with experienced rangers on the reserve where you may nd all of the Big 5 and plentiful plains game. You may also visit the resident Born Free Foundation Education Centre. DAY 5 Drive approx. 2½ hours west along the coast through the beautiful forests and gorges of the Tsitsikamma National Park and arrive at Plettenberg Bay, the fashionable seaside resort that is home to superb beaches and ne seafood. Spend two nights here at The Plettenberg, an elegant and stylish Relais & Chateaux hotel with views over the bay and cuisine to die for. Walk into the town or to the nearby beaches from here, or simply relax by the pools and in the spa. DAY 7 Continue westwards approx. 25 minutes along the coast to Knysna, one of the prettiest resorts in Africa. Set on the shores of a shimmering lagoon and famous for its Oyster farming, its attractions include boat cruises, whale
watching (in season), ne shops and restaurants, and stunning surrounding scenery especially atop the Knysna Heads' where the lagoon exits into the ocean. Here you will spend two nights at Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa, magnicently situated above the town with commanding seaviews and boasting one of the best golf courses in the country. O ering gourmet cuisine, a world class spa, luxurious accommodation and numerous activities such as horse riding, nature trails and beach visits, you are sure to leave invigorated and wishing you'd stayed longer. DAY 9 Relax at the resort this morning before driving approx. 1 hour to George airport for your South African Airways overnight ight to Heathrow via Johannesburg, arriving the following morning.
