Grenada
Heralded by many as the Spice Island, Grenada is as famous for its nutmeg, ginger and vanilla as its tropical mountain forests and beautiful beaches.
St George's is the pretty and picturesque capital with a horseshoe' harbour where you can sail over to neighbouring islands in the Grenadines. Yachts and water-taxis ll St. George's harbour while the pastel-washed buildings of the Carenage' form the perfect backdrop. The Southwestern tip homes the white sands of the gorgeous Grand Anse beach, a snorkelling and scuba haven, ideal for relaxation. But summon the energy to explore a little further and you'll nd several deserted stretches of bliss, and neighbouring Carriacou, the coral reef island' with a myriad of marine life. Follow the scents to the sleepy hills, to cinnamon and nutmeg groves, waterfall cascades, dormant volcanoes draped in lush rainforests and a 30 acre blue lake cradled in a crater.
