DAY 1 Jet Airways overnight ight from Heathrow to Delhi. DAY 2 Transfer to The Imperial Hotel for two nights, this Delhi
landmark is beautifully positioned amidst the grandiose buildings, verdant gardens and sweeping boulevards of Lutyen's architectural masterpiece, New Delhi, just minutes from Connaught Place. Palm trees line the impressive driveway leading to this oasis amidst the chaotic city. The walls are lined with an impressive art collection which extends into the guest rooms, all of which have high ceilings, impeccable décor and views over the gardens. There are eight bars and restaurants including the award winning Spice Route serving Southeast Asian cuisine. DAY 3 A morning orientation tour of Old and New Delhi has been arranged for you. In the evening enjoy dinner at the acclaimed Bukhara restaurant. DAY 4 A leisurely four hour drive to Agra for two nights at the luxurious Oberoi Amarvilas, nely crafted in a style that draws inspiration from the traditions of Moorish and Mughal architecture and just 650 yards from the Taj Mahal. Enjoy exquisite views of the graceful monument from its restaurant, bar, terrace and all guest rooms. DAY 5 The highlight of any journey to India, this morning visit the enchanting Taj Mahal. A short tour around Agra follows including the 16th Century red fort. The afternoon is at leisure with optional tours available. DAY 6 Drive onto Jaipur for two nights (approx. 4˝ hours) at The Rambagh Palace, stopping en route to wander the deserted Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. Abandoned due to a lack of water supply, it remains an exceptional example of Mughal splendour. The carefully restored Rambagh Palace still exudes a regal air and charm, three distinct restaurants pander to a range of exquisite tastes and the Polo Bar o ers a relaxing evening in convivial company. DAY 7 Drive out of Jaipur to the imposing Amber Fort and later visit the Royal Observatory, Maharaja's Palace and the unique

Palace of the Winds. An optional tour to the charitable S.O.S. Children's Village can be arranged on request. DAY 8 A relaxing day free to explore the bazaars of Jaipur or take an optional tour to the enchanting palace at Samode. Alternatively drive to the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve for three nights at the Oberoi Vanyavilas. See Ranthambore Tiger Extension' opposite. DAY 9 Morning Jet Airways ight to Udaipur and transfer to the boutique Hotel Devi Garh for one night. Nestled in the Aravali hills, this heritage 18th century palace in the village of Delwara is an oasis of blissful elegance in a relaxed, rural setting. DAY 10 Make the half hour journey to Udaipur by road for two nights at the Taj Lake Palace, instantly recognisable as one of the most iconic hotels in India. Reached by a short boat ride from the shores of Lake Pichola, the hotel o ers four acres of graceful courtyards, enchanting pavilions, beautiful gardens and cusped archways. A selection of restaurants serve a mixture of cuisines and the historical Amrit Sagar bar is a stylish, relaxed retreat. In the afternoon enjoy a private boat ride on Lake Pichola (subject to water levels) and view the breathtaking bejewelled furniture of the Crystal Gallery. This evening dine in palatial surrounds at the heritage Shiv Niwas Palace. DAY 11 A city of grandiose fortresses and palaces, the setting of Udaipur could not be more beguiling. Surrounded by the cloak of the Aravali hills, its mesmeric location on the shores of Lake Pichola enhances its romantic splendour. You will visit the lakeside City Palace with its intricate archways and courtyards, followed by the lavishly ornamented Jagdish Temple.
