Bali
Not without reason is the beautiful Indonesian island of Bali called The isle of the Gods'. Described by so many as magical', its landscape of lakes and fast owing rivers is scattered with banyans and palm groves and adorned with the exquisite artistry of a tapestry of rice paddies.
Sweeping bays indenting Bali's coast are lled with white sand and backed by the blossoms of a tropical Eden, scented with subtle fragrances of frangipani and oleander. Intricate and beautiful tier-roofed temples and frequent cultural festivals abound in a display of oriental and spiritual magnicence. Bali's beaches are great for action or plain relaxation. The shing boats, which line Jimbaran beach, o er the perfect waterfront view. Seminyak is the vibrant and trendy area where you will nd a range of bars, delicious restaurants and small shops. Take an o road Jeep safari through the heart of the north western region of the island or watch the sunset from the famous Tanah Lot temple, built on a huge rock outcrop in the sea. Inland, Ubud is the cultural heart of the island, famed for stunning art work, handicrafts and carvings, with the striking backdrop of rice paddy elds and intricate temples.
