NICE PALAIS DE LA MEDITERRANÉE At the heart of Nice, the capital of the French Riviera, the Palais de la Mediterranée, now a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, celebrates its rebirth. This legendary establishment, a temple of the arts and of gaming in the inter-war years, since 2004 has offered the best of the past and the present under the dome roof. Behind its majestic Art Deco façade that has remained intact the Palais de la Mediterranée has returned to its first loves: top-of-the-range comfort, refinement and excellence with luxury hotel service, fine gastronomic catering, an auditorium staging international entertainment artists, relaxation and leisure. Located in the centre of Nice, on the famous Promenade des Anglais and facing the Mediterranean Sea. In front of the hotel towards the sea, the restaurant Le Padouk invites you to appreciate its elegant room and its marvellous terrace while tasting a subtle mixture of Mediterranean delicacies. On the poolside panoramic terrace, gourmets will relish the specialities of this new restaurant, and its new chef, Bruno Sohn. In a refined and elegant atmosphere, where dark wood decorative features provide a pleasant exotic touch, guests will discover his original cuisine, a subtle alchemy of Mediterranean and oriental flavours. Facing the swimming pool, the Pingala Bar with its warm colours and its touch of Zen spirit, is a haven of wellbeing. The vast pool, heated all year long and surrounded by parasols, provides the centrepiece for guests who are invited to indulge in moments of intense relaxation. For a more dynamic stay, there is a large fitness room and Turkish baths. The Palais de la Mediterranée is an architectural jewel and prime example of modern comfort. Offering a new reference in hospitality and services, from the fourth floor up it has 188 rooms, most of which have a large balcony with panoramic view of the sea, the hills of the Nice hinterland or the gardens of the inner patio. Each room is decorated in soft ochre and saffron tones, the contemporary furniture, specially designed for the hotel, providing unique comfort. The bathroom's beige and moleskin shades elegantly match the warm wood panelling features. Rooms feature airconditioning, plasma television and spacious walk-in wardrobes. Superior rooms are comfortable and luxurious, Deluxe rooms all have a terrace and larger Prestige rooms include a sitting area. Transfer from Nice airport: 15 minutes.
