BLUE PALACE RESORT & SPA
Blushing with terracotta colours, regal with stone walls, arched walkways and a clean elegance is the truly beautiful Blue Palace Resort & Spa set a few miles from the sleepy fishing village of Elounda overlooking the endless blue seas of the gulf of Mirabello and the medieval fortressed isle of Spinalonga. The Elounda Spa and Thalassotherapy has been bestowed with many awards and is justifiably considered to be one of the finest well-being centres in Europe. The spacious spa extends across a sun-drenched terrace to the shimmering thalassotherapy pool overlooking the sea. There are Turkish steam baths, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis and the three thalassotherapy pools where sea elements and high water temperatures combine to provide deep relaxation. Customised treatments are available within the sanctuary of the pale blue treatment rooms. There are three main pools, all of which overlook the blue sea surrounding the largest of the Greek islands and a private beach where watersports and diving can be arranged. Tennis and a fitness centre are available. There are five restaurants in total; excellent Asian influenced foods are served at Asia Blue, while casual lunches including Italian dishes and salads are provided at Isola Restaurant by the beach. There's a lobby and beach bar and the new lounge bar, Votsalo Bar, opened in 2007. Kids are entertained at the kid's club. Each of the 251 rooms, bungalows, suites and villas is airconditioned and has marble bathrooms, bath and separate shower, television and minibar and terrace or balcony. Superior bungalows have private pool, terrace with day bed and sea views, Deluxe suites have similar facilities but are much larger with separate living room and larger infinity pool, and Island luxury suites are similar to Deluxe suites but with larger outdoor living space with pergola and private heated pool.
