Ideal for a relaxing peaceful stay away-from-it-all, Palm Island is where you truly unwind. 45 minutes by air from Barbados and ten minutes by boat from Union Island, Palm Island Resort, set just three miles from Tobago Cays, shares its tiny island with just a few private houses. Only 1½ miles in circumference, this exclusive hideaway is surrounded by hundreds of coconut palms and five soft white beaches. A choice of two restaurants and bars in which to enjoy your all inclusive meals basis and to while away the hours in the sun there is a tranquil swimming pool surrounded by majestic palms. For those wishing to be a little more active, there's lawn tennis, nature trails, a small workout room, bicycles to explore the island and table tennis. Massage treatments can be booked locally. Watersports from the breathtakingly beautiful beach include reef and surf fishing, snorkelling, hobie-cat sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. Snorkel and sailing trips to the lovely Tobago Cays can be arranged too. In the evening the hotel has occasional live entertainment. 37 rooms with airconditioning, ceiling fan, mini-fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and private terrace.
There are no intrusive telephones or televisions, perfect for stress-free living. Palm view rooms (PV): located in the palm grove gardens. Bathrooms have bath and shower. Beachfront rooms (BF): situated next to the beach and literally steps from the clear blue seas. Bathrooms have shower only. Plantation suites (PS): there are four spacious plantation suites with bedroom plus area with sofabed, shower, large balcony or terrace with garden and sea views. Island loft rooms which sit on five foot stilts and have high peaked ceilings, large bathroom with shower and bath, stocked minibar and large balcony, are also available on request.
