Delhi: 1 night Jaipur: 2 nights Ranthambore: 3 nights Bharatpur: 1 night Agra: 1 night Delhi: 1 night I Day 1 Thu Fly Virgin Atlantic from Heathrow to Delhi. I Day 2 Fri Arrive late morning in Delhi and transfer to the Oberoi Maidens or similar. Rest of the day at leisure. Optional evening Dances of India Show, cookery demonstration with dinner or Red Fort Sound and Light show. I Day 3 Sat Begin the day with a fascinating morning orientation of Delhi, beginning with the narrow bustling streets, teeming colourful bazaars and the outstanding Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque) of Old Delhi. Later tour Lutyen's New Delhi, stopping at the Ghandi Memorial Rajghat and passing by the monumental government buildings. Drive in the afternoon to Jaipur for two nights at the Hotel Mansingh (161 miles). B. I Day 4 Sun Drive out of Jaipur and visit the ancient imposing Amber Fort, perched high above the surrounding area. Later tour the `Pink City' of Jaipur and visit the Royal Observatory and Maharajah's Palace with a photo opportunity at the unique Palace of the Winds. Optional afternoon visit to a local charitable SOS Children's Village. B. I Day 5 Mon Drive in the morning to Ranthambore for a three nights stay at the Regency. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore Ranthambore at leisure (113 miles). B,L,D. I Day 6 Tue Covering some 240 square miles of beautiful scenery, the national park boasts one of the country's leading tiger conservation efforts and is renowned as one of the best parks in India to spot this elusive animal. You may be lucky enough to spot one during the two safaris in open top cantors into the park today, as well as leopards, crocodiles and over 300 species of birds. B,L,D. I Day 7 Wed Today has been left free for you to relax or arrange optional drives in the park. B,L,D.
I Day 8 Thu After breakfast enjoy a drive to Bharatpur, home of the Keoladeo National Park, considered to be India's finest wetland bird sanctuary. Arrive and check in at the Laxmi Villas Palace for one night (138 miles). B. I Day 9 Fri Visit the National Park on a cycle rickshaw and spend time spotting the amazing birdlife. Later make the short drive to the fabled Agra for a one night stay at the Hotel Mansingh. En route, tour the deserted Moghul city of Fatehpur Sikri. Built by the Emperor Akbar in 1569 as his new capital but later abandoned (34 miles). B. I Day 10 Sat A highlight of your tour will be this morning's visit to the Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jahan as a memorial to his beloved wife Mumtaz. Later explore the fascinating Agra Fort. In the afternoon drive back to Delhi for one night at the Oberoi Maidens or similar. In the evening enjoy a Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant (130 miles). B,D. I Day 11 Sun After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight with Virgin Atlantic to Heathrow arriving later the same day. B. NB Ranthambore is closed from Jul 01-Sep 30.

experienced naturalist Tour Manager throughout the main itinerary. With the exception of any included sightseeing, extensions are not escorted but assistance is provided in each destination by local representatives and guides.

I Day 12 Mon to Day 13 Tue Kanha is a renowned Project Tiger Reserve and highly regarded for the frequency of spottings. Enjoy two jeep jungle safaris per day in the setting for Rudyard Kipling's famous Jungle Book, rich also in many other varieties of fauna. B,L,D. I Day 14 Wed Morning at leisure with an optional visit to the local tribal villages available before returning to Nagpur for your Indian Airlines flight to Mumbai.
