Extensive gardens with both river and sea frontage are one of the many attractions of the Bentota Beach Hotel. A popular and established first class hotel at exceptional value situated on one of the best west coast beaches. The Bentota Beach is about three hours drive from the airport. Beautifully located in mature gardens with the Bentota river on one side and the superb, palm fringed Bentota beach and the Indian Ocean on the other. The small village of Bentota with shops and restaurants is within walking distance. Excellent facilities include a choice of restaurants. There is also an airconditioned lounge bar. Relax by the stunning freshwater swimming pool, use the floodlit tennis and squash courts, table tennis, archery, badminton, fitness centre or the Ayurveda Centre. Beach volleyball and pool games are also available. Watersports are available on the lagoon in the hotel gardens. There is also a PADI dive school open January 01-March 31 and December 01-31 only. A railway line runs behind the hotel. 133 well furnished rooms with colourful interiors. Standard rooms (STD): with airconditioning, television, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, minibar, shower and balcony or terrace either with a partial view of the ocean or river.
