I Day 2 Fri Today leave the hotel early to marvel the sights of The Valley of the Kings, the Kings West Valley and the tomb of `IYE' Deir Elbahari, the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut Medinet Habou and the Valley of the Queens. In the afternoon visit the Temple of Amon Re at Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Overnight at the Sheraton Luxor. B. I Day 3 Sat An early start again to visit the sanctuaries of Osiris, Isis and Horus and others at the site of Abydous. In the afternoon enjoy the sights of the Temple of Hathour in Dendera. I Day 5 Mon Today you will explore some of the fascinating historic sights of Amarna. This name derives from the ancient Egyptian name Akhetaten, which translates as the `horizon of Aten' (Aten is a creator of the universe in ancient Egyptian mythology). The sights here include the Temple of Aten, the Akhenaton Royal Palace and Nefertiti Royal Palace. Picnic lunch in the day and dinner and overnight at the Mercure in Minya. B,L. I Day 6 Tue A magical insight to the Governors Tombs of Beni Hassan, the Greco-Roman cemetery of Tuna Elgabal, the Basilica of El Ahmoneen and the open-air museum of El Ashmonen. Overnight at the Mercure in Minya. B,L. I Day 7 Wed This morning drive west towards Fayoum, visiting the Pyramid of Amenemhat III and the Roman settlement and museum of Karanis en route. This afternoon relax at the Auberge Helnan in Fayoum. B,L. I Day 8 Thu Cross the Qaroon Lake to the north shore to visit the settlement of Dime Elsebaa and then drive by four-wheel drive vehicle to the Old Kingdom Temple of Qasr El Sagha with picnic lunch en route. Drive to Cairo, arriving in the evening and overnight at Sofitel Maadi Towers. B,L. I Day 9 Fri This morning visit the site of Giza Plateau including the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and a visit to the Egyptian Museum and the bazaar in the afternoon. Overnight at Sofitel Maadi Towers.
