Amman: 3 nights Petra: 2 nights Aqaba: 2 or 5 nights I Day 1 Sat Fly Royal Jordanian from Heathrow. On arrival transfer to the first class Crowne Plaza Amra Amman hotel for three nights. I Day 2 Sun to Day 3 Mon Two days to explore this spacious city. Enjoy a full day tour to the amazingly preserved Roman City of Jerash (including lunch) or visit at extra cost the `lowest spot on earth' at Suweimeh on the Dead Sea. I Day 4 Tue Depart via the King's Highway for Petra, visiting en route Mt. Nebo for a spectacular view of the Jordan Valley. Continue to Madaba to see some fine Byzantine mosaics. Lunch is included at Kerak, a Crusader castle overlooking the Dead Sea. Overnight at the Crowne Plaza Resort Petra (approx. 190 miles). I Day 5 Wed A half day excursion to see the fascinating `rose red city', carved over 2,000 years ago but lost to the world for 500 years when trading routes changed. Overnight at the Crowne Plaza Resort Petra. I Day 6 Thu Driving south we follow in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia, visiting Wadi Rum by jeep where scenes from the famous film were shot. Windsculpted hills rise up from the desert flats and stand like guards to the old camel caravan trading routes from the East. Even today the Bedouin people settle here for some of the year. Continue to Aqaba and the Aqaba Gulf hotel located about five minutes walk from the beaches of the Red Sea (approx. 90 miles).
