DAY 8 ² Fly to Heathrow on Jet Airways, arriving the same day. Delhi: 1 night º Agra: 2 nights Jaipur: 2 nights º Delhi: 1 night DAY 1 ² Fly Jet Airways from Heathrow to Delhi. DAY 2 ² Arrive late morning in Delhi and transfer to your hotel for one night. Optional evening visit to the Sound and Light show at the Red Fort or the Dances of India show. DAY 3 ² Visit the chaotic yet mesmerising Old Delhi, then your choice of extensions SHIMLA continue by coach to the imperial architectural masterpiece of Lutyens New Delhi. Drive in the afternoon to Agra for two nights (130 miles, approx. 5 hours). DAY 4 ² This morning visit the spectacular Taj Mahal. DAY 5 ² After an early breakfast leave Agra for the Pink City Shimla was once the summer capital of the British Raj. DAY 8 ² Morning Shatabdi Express train to Kalka (4½ hours) then by narrow gauge toy train (5 hours) through the foothills of the Himalayas to Shimla, spend three nights or more here. DAY 9 TO DAY 10 ² Time to explore the many lanes and walks and take in the beautiful view from along The Mall. DAY 11 ² Drive down to Kalka (70 miles) to connect with the Shatabdi Express train to Delhi (4½ hours) and transfer to the Crowne Plaza for one night. DAY 12 ² Fly Jet Airways to Heathrow arriving same day. TIGERS OF RANTHAMBORE of Jaipur stopping en route to see the perfectly preserved deserted Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri.
