The MV Santa Cruz has a team of English speaking naturalists who accompany the cruise, leading shore excursions and offering briefings on the islands and activities. In other destinations and on the extensions assistance is provided locally. would suggest around $20 per person per day aboard the MV Santa Cruz. Elsewhere tipping in restaurants is customary and should be around 10% of your bill, porters should be tipped a couple of dollars a bag and guides and drivers would expect around $10 per day. TRAVEL TIPS º Ensure you have suitable footwear as many of the beach landings involve getting your feet wet. NB º The tour spends time at altitude so a healthy constitution is recommended. For those wishing to experience more of the Galapagos Islands we offer the option to extend your cruise to 7 nights. DAY 11 ² Morning visit to the tortoise breeding centre at Cerro Colorado. In the afternoon continue to Cerro Brujo where there is excellent bird watching from the beach DAY 12 ² Visit the islands of Espanola and Floreana with the opportunity to view more of the islands diverse fauna. DAY 13 ² Morning outing to Fernandina Island, the youngest in the archipelago. Afternoon dinghy ride along the coast of Isabela Island to view wildlife including the flightless cormorant. DAY 16 TO DAY 17 ² Return to Lima for an overnight before return flight with Lan Peru to Madrid, connecting with British Airways to Heathrow.
