The highest resort in Europe with north-facing, snow-sure slopes and doorstep skiing suitable for skiers of all levels. Val Thorens is divided into five areas: Place des Arolles at the entrance of the resort, Hameau de Péclet in the upper part, Hameau de Caron in the centre, Rue du Soleil in the lower part where most of the children facilities can be found, and Balcons in the higher part of Val Thorens with direct access to the slopes. Chalet-style buildings overlooking the resort which are each divided into 5-16 apartments, located in the Balcons area, at the foot of the slopes, 500m from the resort centre and the shops, 600m from the ESF ski school. Facilities: Fitness centre (heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym open from 5pm to 9pm). Loan of cots and high chairs (subject to availability, state at time of booking). Internet access. Payable locally: Bakery service. Ferme de Rosalie restaurant located in one of the chalets. SPECIAL OFFER: 20% off ski hire at Rosaël Sport shop (located in one of the Chalets du Soleil) Accommodation: Open plan kitchen with oven, microwave and dishwasher, open fire (1 bag of wood supplied, extra bag: e8), telephone, balcony and bathroom.
