S TAY A N D S A I L - N I D R I
WEEK ONE - ON SHORE
The Athos Hotel in Nidri located right on the seafront opposite our yacht pontoon is your base for the first week of your Stay and Sail holiday. With no dinghy sailing, windsurfing, mountain biking or children's clubs the focus during the day rests with learning to sail, brushing up on existing skills or relaxing around the pool and enjoying the resort of Nidri. On your second week you will join our other guests on flotilla to discover the beauty of the southern Ionian.
ACCOMMODATION DURING YOUR WEEK ASHORE LEARN TO SAIL
A free try-dive is available in the hotel pool and further dives can be organised locally with the PADI recognised dive school. You can also join boat trips to nearby islands and guided walks of the local area. If you require children's clubs, watersports and shorebased activities our other Stay and Sail option in the Ionian - The Retreat - will suit you better (see pages 80-85).
If you have no sailing experience, we ask that two people aboard each yacht must be aged 18 or over and have or are planning to complete an Introduction to Yachting or Brush-Up Course. A range of yacht training courses are available; Four day Introduction to Yachting, Two day Brush-Up, Private Introduction to Yachting and Brush-Up. Yacht training courses are available for a supplement. For more details on yacht training see page 126.
Twin and double rooms are comfortable but simple with private shower, wc, air conditioning and balcony or terrace. Some rooms are adjoining and are ideal for families. There are some triple rooms available with two single beds and one camp style bed.
FACILITIES, ACTIVITIES AND CHILDREN'S CLUBS
Facilities at the Athos Hotel include two bars, a daytime snack bar, large freshwater swimming pool and patio area, children's pool and Jacuzzi. Safety deposit boxes are available, payable locally.
