NORTHERN IONIAN CORFU Corfu Igoumenitsa Petriti SOUTHERN IONIAN Sivota The picturesque village of Sivota on the island of Lefkas is situated in an enclosed bay. En route you can anchor in one of the few public bays on the prestigious Onassis Island. Cephalonia Made famous by the book `Captain Corelli's Mandolin' and the subsequent film. One of our stops, Fiscardo is an old picturesque village situated on the island's northern tip. Kioni and Frikes Kioni is a pretty ampitheatre of houses built around the steep slopes of the bay. Frikes has a picture postcard setting at the bottom of a wooded ravine. Vathi The capital of Ithaka, Vathi is a small, colourful and busy town, set in a steep sided bay. Meganisi The island is a cruising paradise with many excellent anchorages around the north coast. Vassiliki On the southern coast of Lefkas, Vassiliki is a pretty village with a cosmopolitan yet unspoilt atmosphere. Kalamos A sleepy village with a couple of great tavernas and a small pebble beach. Kastos A beautiful village set amongst olive groves. The crystal clear waters around the island are great for snorkelling. Sivota Mourtos GREECE Parga PAXOS Lakka Gaios Lakka Lakka is a pretty little town, sheltered by impressive mountains, perched on the northern tip of Paxos. Parga Steeped in history, the beautiful, traditional harbour town of Parga is full of life with great restaurants, tavernas and traditional shops. However, walk away from the seafront a few streets and you will experience a more traditional way of life. Vonitsa Take a detour into the `inland sea' and the port of Vonitsa, complete with 17th Century Venetian castle. This landlocked gulf is one of the best places in the Ionian to spot dolphins. Mourtos Located on the mainland in a beautiful wooded setting. The village has several small bays and a good variety of waterfront tavernas. Corfu Corfu town, capital of the most northerly Ionian island, has many beautiful Venetian buildings and is well worth a visit. If this level of experience cannot be satisfied, a Stay and Sail holiday, coupled with an Introduction to Yachting or Brush-Up training course should be completed. They must both be comfortable sailing in a range of conditions. If this level of experience cannot be satisfied, a flotilla holiday may be more appropriate.
