Youll have time to settle in before a delicious five-course evening meal. chrIstmas eve sion Today begins with an included guided tour of spectacular Sion, its twin hilltop castles of Valere and Tourbillon housing what is claimed to be the worlds oldest church organ. There is a chance to do some last minute gift shopping in the pretty town before a special candlelit dinner in the Maison Blanche restaurant, which is followed by piano music in the bar. chrIstmas Day Zermatt Todays very special included trip takes us by coach and train to the heart of Zermatt in the shadow of the mighty Matterhorn. This exclusive ski resort has marvellous views and a wonderfully festive atmosphere as we travel through the snowy valleys and tiny hamlets. Returning to the hotel, there is time to relax and enjoy wine tasting before this evenings sumptuous buffet, which includes wine and live piano music in the bar. boxIng Day scenic mountain tour Either enjoy free time to recover from the festivities or take an optional scenic mountain tour through Switzerlands glistening landscapes. The evening concludes with an atmospheric torch-lit walk around the hotel grounds followed by mulled wine and cookies. 27 December montreux Day at leisure to enjoy the hotels spa facilities, explore independently or join our optional excursion to Montreux the pearl of the Swiss Riviera on the shores of the stunning Lake Geneva. Here you can see the 12th century Chateau de Chillon, the inspiration behind Byrons poem The Prisoner of Chillon. Afterwards unwind at the hotel before enjoying this evenings superb farewell meal. 28 December Lake como This morning we leave the mountains of Switzerland behind as we travel along the Rhone Valley and go through St Bernard Tunnel into the Aosta Valley in Italy. Keep your eyes peeled and you may just see a glimpse of Mont Blanc as you continue down towards Turin and Milan and onto your resort on Lake Como for the rest of your festive holiday. 29 December Lake maggiore Discover Lake Comos stunning sister lake, Maggiore today. Well take you to the town of Stresa, from where you will have plenty of time to enjoy your surroundings. Stroll along the pretty lakeside promenade or take a boat out onto the lake to experience the beautiful views. The stunning Borromean Islands are nearby and worth a visit if you have time. The gardens and palaces on Isola Bella and Isola Madre are shut at this time of year, but the islands are still well worth a visit. 30 December como & bellagio Today we visit the beautiful lakeside town of Como. Situated on the southern tip of the lake, Como is a haven of tranquillity, and bursting with history. Look out for the two impressive cathedrals, the art gallery is also worth a visit if you have time. With stylish boutiques and designer stores a plenty, youll have great opportunities
