28 DeCeMBer Luxor Today we can relax and enjoy lunch on board as we cross the Esna Lock and sail onwards towards Luxor. 29 DeCeMBer the Valley of the Kings Highlights of today's trip include the Colossi of Memenon - two gigantic figures that originally stood outside the tomb of Amenophis III; the imposing Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built on a series of terraces for the only woman pharoah ever to have reigned; and the highlight of your cruise - a journey deep into the heart of the awe-inspiring Valley of the Kings. We can even go inside some of the pharaohs' tombs. We then transfer to Luxor airport for the flight to Cairo. 30 DeCeMBer Cairo Today we visit the fascinating Egyptian Museum and the Old Bazaars of Khan-el-Khalili on a half-day sightseeing tour. See the incredible relics from the days of the Pharoahs, including the treasures of Tutankhamun and the impressive Mummy Room. neW year'S eVe Cairo & the Pyramids of Giza Seeing the mighty Pyramids of Giza, the only one of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World to have survived, makes this a memorable New Year's Eve indeed. As part of our tour we marvel at the Sphinx that guards the Pyramids and visit the 13th-century crusader-style fortress known as the Citadel of Saladin, as well as the alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali.
