ItInerary 21 & 22 December UK/cape town We depart from Heathrow and travel via Frankfurt to Cape Town where we are met by our Tour Manager and transferred to the hotel. Take the morning to relax before an introductory tour of the city, including a cable car ride up Table Mountain (weather permitting) for the breathtaking views. Later we enjoy a sunset cruise across Table Bay whilst enjoying a glass of sparkling wine. 23 December aquila game reserve Explore the city independently or take our optional full-day excursion to the Aquila Game Reserve for a thrilling safari, where we will view wild rhinoceroses, giraffes, zebra, buffalo and lions as well as, if we are lucky, rare mountain leopards. chrIstmas eve the cape Peninsula After breakfast we take a boat trip from Hout Bay to Duiker Island to view the large colony of Cape Fur Seals. We continue along the awe-inspiring Chapmans Peak Drive, one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world, and on to the Cape of Good Hope and scenic Cape Point. Here we enjoy a fish lunch in Simons Town, overlooking the ocean before visiting the penguin colony on Boulders Beach. Later there is a special Christmas Eve celebration dinner on the V&A waterfront, with views of Table Mountain. chrIstmas Day blaauwklippen Wine estate Today we make a fabulous trip into the fabled cape wine region to celebrate with a lavish Christmas lunch at the historic Blaauwklippen Wine Estate. Here we will enjoy traditional Christmas fare with a slight African twist. Choose from a wide array of restaurants for this evenings dinner at leisure. boxIng Day cape town Today is at leisure; maybe just soak up the sun on one of the amazing beaches. Lunch and dinner are your choice today; why not sample some delicious local specialities? 27 December the Winelands You have a day at leisure to explore or perhaps take the optional Winelands tour, visiting the renowned wine estates of Stellenbosch. 28 December Kirstenbosch & blouberg Todays full-day guided excursion includes a visit to the magical Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens before an included lunch at a restaurant in Camps Bay. 29 & 30 December cape town/UK Take time to enjoy some last minute shopping before your transfer to the airport for the homeward flight via Frankfurt, arriving the next day.
