DAY 3 Invergordon Situated on Scotlands rugged east coast, this charming port is our gateway to the magnificent Highlands. In the town itself take a stroll through Natal Park, a favourite amongst locals and visitors alike; or visit the Naval Museum, with its fascinating collection of local artefacts. Shore excursions will take you further afield: take in some of Britains most stunning scenery in the Scottish Highlands; visit Inverness, where you will be able to shop for those famous Highland tartans, knitwear and jewellery; and, dont forget, Loch Ness, with the ruins of Urquhart Castle on its shores be sure to keep an eye out for Nessie! Built at the turn of the 20th century, McCaigs Folly was never finished, but its granite arches still lend a touch of whimsy to this attractive Victorian port.
