DAY 11 Honfleur This charming fishing port, a favourite haunt of the great impressionist painters, dates back to the 14th century. Step ashore on a walking tour of the typical Norman streets and alleys of the Old Town and note the striking contrast between the splendid two-storey stone houses, and the tall, slender houses up to seven storeys high. We will visit the Lieutenancy, the former house of the Governor, and Saint Catherine Church, a rare example in Western Europe of a building made entirely of wood. DAY 12 Monday 8 September Southampton We disembark after breakfast.

Optional shore excursions will introduce you to La Coruna and charming ancient towns and villages of Galicia. DAY 8 Cruising Spend a leisurely day on board as we sail towards Nantes. DAY 9 Nantes Stroll through the quaint cobbled streets of the mediaeval old town, dominated by the magnificent Chateau des Ducs de Bretagne and discover the striking Gothic Cathedral of St. Pierre and St Paul Nantes. Visit the great museums and learn about the citys intriguing history on the banks of the Loire. Enjoy the designer shops around the Rue de Crebillon and the citys lovely parks and gardens. Explore the stylish seaside of La Baule with its beautiful beaches and the mediaeval walled town of Guerande. DAY 10 Cruising Enjoy a further day at sea as our voyage continues towards Honfleur.
