From the sun-soaked islands of Sardinia and Sicily to the beautiful bay of Naples; from the magnificent beaches of the Ionian Islands to the ancient Greek treasures of Olympia and Delphi, this 13-day cruise has it all. ITINERARY DAY 1 Sunday 12 October UK-Civitavecchia We fly from the UK to Rome and transfer to the port of Civitavecchia to join the Ocean Majesty. DAY 2 Civitavecchia We spend the day in the Eternal City  choose to explore on your own or join a panoramic tour with our expert guide. Highlights include the monumental Colosseum, the Forum, Vatican City with St Peters and the Sistine Chapel. The Ocean Majesty sails at 1900. DAY 3 Naples The colourful city of Naples is a delight to explore  seek out the bustling streets and piazzas of shops and cafes; the splendid cathedral; or the treasures of the Museo Archeologico Nazionale. Shore excursions offer the chance to see the magnificent ruins at Pompeii, visit beautiful Capri or take a trip along the scenic Amalfi Drive. DAY 4 Olbia The Italian island of Sardinia is our destination today. Translucent seas, a picturesque coastline, isolated coves, sandy beaches and flamingofilled marshes are the hallmarks of the island and inland youll find the rugged Gennargentu Mountains and some 7,000 nuraghi, conical megalithic stone fortresses built more than 2,500 years ago. Shore excursions will explore the island including a visit to the Costa Smeralda, a beautiful stretch of coast and now one of the worlds most opulent holiday resorts. DAY 5 Messina Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean and Messina the islands third largest city. Whilst here perhaps choose to visit the impressive Mount Etna, where we travel up to a height of 6,300ft to peer inside the Silvestri crater. You can also take a trip to the ancient town of Taormina, with its magnificently situated GrecoRoman theatre.
