ITINERARY DAY 1 Sunday 1 June Harwich Join the ship for our 1630 departure. DAY 2 Cruising Explore the ship and get to know your fellow passengers on our first day at sea. DAY 3 Floro Our first port of call is Norways westernmost town, Floro, twice voted the most pleasant place to live in Norway. Visit the Coastal Museum for an insight into the towns history and the local industries of salmon, herring and mackerel fishing, oil and ship building. A range of shore excursions will introduce us to the beauty of the region including dramatic waterfalls, salmon rivers and Lake Jostravatnet. Enjoy spectacular views all around from Brandsoyasen; sail around the surrounding islands; and visit the Norwegian Deer Centre. DAY 4 Alesund As we reach Alesund you will notice the distinctly Art Nouveau style of the buildings, a legacy of the architects who rebuilt this lively fishing community following a devastating fire in 1904. Shore excursions include a visit to two of the surrounding small islands, Giske and Godoy; and a trip to the fascinating open-air museum to see traditional scenes from Norwegian life throughout the ages. DAY 5 Cruising Relax at sea as we cross the Arctic Circle heading for the North Cape. DAY 6 Honningsvag Departing from Honningsvag, theres an air of excitement as we head along the coast and across the dramatic, desolate terrain to the North Cape. You get the sense of being on top of the world as you stand on the 307-metre-high cliffs gazing out over the Arctic Ocean. We return to the ship in order to sail past the North Cape, basking in the glory of the Midnight Sun. DAY 7 Cruising Our adventure continues towards Spitzbergen.
