Guest Speakers Trevor Gunton Ornithologist & Norse Historian Trevor Gunton spent 30 years with the RSPB and is an active and respected ornithologist, with a particular interest in the seabirds of the North Atlantic. Since his early retirement Trevor is on the central lecturing panels of the National Trust and the RSPB, and also an active volunteer at his local nature reserve. Dr. Bernard M. Rowlands  Earth Scientist Trevor Gunton  Ornithologist & Norse Historian Dr. Roger Cartwright  Maritime & Ocean Liner Historian Most recently he has devoted a considerable amount of time studying the Viking/Norse cultures. Dr. Roger Cartwright Maritime & Ocean Liner Historian Roger Cartwright is an internationally published author on the history of the cruise industry and a variety of management topics. His work with the Royal Navy has provided him with an in-depth knowledge of maritime history. Having worked in both education and management training in the USA and India, in addition to the UK, Roger is an experienced and fascinating speaker. Mr David Shute BBC Producer David Shute was the first person to broadcast live on national radio as he was going through the sound barrier! Dr. David Baker Space Scientist David Baker has had a lifelong involvement with the NASA space programme, helping send men to the moon in the 1960s, working to develop the re-usable Shuttle in the 1970s and advising on space policy during the 1990s. He has written more than 60 books on many aspects of the space programme and he continues to serve as a consultant. Dr. Bernard M. Rowlands MA, PhD., Dip.Ed  Earth Scientist Bernard Rowlands was educated at the University of Liverpool and is an expert in glaciation. He has travelled extensively, particularly in Norway, Iceland, Greenland, the Faroes and in the Inner and Outer Hebrides. He has lectured on many cruise ships and his other interests include wildlife, natural optical phenomena and Viking history. Tracy Martin TV Personality  Collectables Tracy Martin is classed by many as the only ultra-modern expert in the collectables industry. She specialises in todays current market but is also extremely knowledgeable about the collectables industry as a whole, especially shoes, handbags, pottery and glass.
