Essential information regarding accommodation and excursions. All the information has been carefully checked and is correct at the time of going to press. Please bear in mind, however, that from time to time certain facilities, excursions and entertainments may be altered or withdrawn due to lack of demand, weather conditions essential maintenance work or other circumstances beyond our control. Ships cabins are really hotel rooms in miniature, providing more or less the same facilities with one main difference space! Ships have space limitations so therefore tend to utilise every inch efficiently. All cabins are air-conditioned. The main difference between OUTSIDE and INSIDE cabins is that OUTSIDE cabins have natural daylight. A BED refers to a lower berth while BERTHS mean upper/lower berth combinations. Our holiday prices are per person, based on the shared occupancy of a double or twin room. Where alternative accommodation is available, supplements are shown in the price panel/with the individual holiday details. Single cabins or rooms are available on most holidays, usually at a supplement. You should be aware that single rooms are sometimes smaller and less well-appointed than twin rooms. Three-bedded rooms are usually twin rooms with an extra bed. Your check-out time is normally between 10am and midday on the day of departure. The hotel grading systems used in this brochure are based on local ratings and these can vary quite considerably from country to country. The term hotel includes motels, inns and other equivalent establishments. Although we always endeavour to use the hotels named in the brochure, circumstances beyond our control may make it necessary to substitute an alternative hotel of an equal standard. We will advise you of any changes at the earliest opportunity. Where holidays include half or full board, meals are normally on a set menu basis, unless otherwise stated. Shared accommodation european & worldwide holidays: If you want to avoid having to pay a single person supplement, we might be able to help you. In the first instance, well confirm your holiday with a single room and youll be charged the applicable supplement. But if another customer (of the same sex) travelling on the same holiday also wants to share a room, well match you up and refund the single person supplement. The matching up process will take place six weeks before the holiday departs. If the option to share is available, well contact you then to let you know. river cruises: On most cruises a single cabin costs more. On selected cruises we offer a limited number of cabins in certain categories for shared occupancy with another single traveller. You then have the pleasure of companionship and avoid the single supplement. This is subject to someone of the same sex wanting to share and if not, you will be charged the normal single cabin supplement four weeks before departure. If you are willing to share, please indicate this when you ring to book your holiday. availability of facilities Please bear in mind that from time to time itineraries may be altered and certain facilities, including optional excursions, withdrawn due to lack of demand, weather conditions, water levels, essential maintenance work or other circumstances outside our control. Please bear in mind the following when booking your cruise: from time to time, special interest groups may be on board; on cruises featuring guest celebrities, circumstances beyond our control may make it necessary to substitute a different celebrity; a minimum number of participants are required for on-board lectures and talks to go ahead. Performance tickets Please bear in mind the following when booking performance tickets: opera houses reserve the right to change performances and casts without notice; although we endeavour to ensure your party is seated together, this cannot be guaranteed; in the event of tickets being unavailable, you will receive a full refund. OUr reSPOnSIBILIty FOr tHe envIrOnMent Concern for the environment has become a major issue particularly the impact of how we live our lives on the world around us. Every time we switch on the heating or travel somewhere we are adding CO2 to the atmosphere and many people are now realising that they can do something to reduce their impact on a very personal level. As a result, and in response to suggestions from many of our customers, we have been looking at ways in which we can all help. reducing our impact To reduce greenhouse gas emissions like CO2 and prevent further damage to our environment it is possible to offset the effects of travel particularly when we fly. Carbon Offsetting means donating money to projects specifically set up with the aim of reducing the level of CO2 in the atmosphere thus making your travel carbon neutral. Typical projects include: Reforestation absorbs CO2 from the atmosphere as the trees grow Renewable energy sources replaces non renewable fuel such as coal and oil Energy efficiency reduces the amount of fuel needed. To demonstrate our commitment, we pledge to offset the carbon emissions of flights for our staff when researching and planning our holidays. Furthermore as a responsible company we have taken steps to minimise our pollution and energy loss and conserve natural resources wherever possible. We recycle as much as possible (paper, cans and many other items), use the latest technology to ensure that we are energy efficient and encourage staff to minimise electricity and other fuel consumption wherever possible. We are also pleased to work in partnership with print and paper companies who have clear environmental policies in place. Our key suppliers either hold, or are working towards, ISO 14001 accreditation, an international standard for controlling and improving environmental performance. Furthermore our paper supplier is committed to sourcing materials that originate from well-managed forests with credible and audited certification standards. If you would like to offset your CO2 emissions we suggest using our preferred partner Climate Care. To calculate the impact of your holiday, use the calculator on their website www.climatecare.org. Your payment, which is of course entirely voluntary, may be much less than you think. Examples of the cost of offsetting one persons return flight are as follows: Munich £1.69 Rome £2.45 Cairo £5.80 New York Delhi Vancouver £11.55 £14.12 £16.06 Holidays for single travellers single supplemen t ho lidays wi your own roth om no Experience the world in good company To request a brochure, call free on 0800 915 8000 or visit www.justyou.co.uk quote ref: 2188/AJBC/08 From May: For Europe & Worldwide quote ref: 2188/AJU/09 For Christmas & New Year quote ref: 2188/AJXM/08 72 www.pageandmoy.com
