Beijing The capital city of China has a whole range of famous attractions. Tiananmen Square, the largest people gathering spot on the planet, The Forbidden City, featured in The Last Emperor movie, The Summer Palace and a couple r of hours drive from the city The Great Wall. Xian The main reason to visit Xian is the famous Terracotta T Warriors museum, but the bustling city centre is also worth a visit with an excellent range of shops.You should also try a Y Chinese hotpot when in Xian cook your own fish and meat and mix your own sauces from a great tray of spices brought to the table. Shanghai The second largest city in China has ultra modern architectural development but maintains its roots with historical gardens and museums. Theres the Bund to visit, where you can stroll along the embankment and take a river cruise or visit the old town and take tea in a Chinese Tea T House.Youll find shopping malls offering designer goods, flea Y markets where your bartering skills will soon come to the fore and many small local shops. Depart UK: Wednesday 8 October 2008 12 NIGHT TOUR FROM £1969 Depart UK Wednesday 8 October Fly with Lufthansa from r your chosen airport to Frankfurt. Your onward flight to Beijing departs at 1720h. Meals and refreshments will be served during your flight. Thursday 9 October After a morning arrival in Beijing you will r be met and taken to the 4-star Landmark Hotel. Four nights accommodation has been arranged. Later today we travel to the north of the city to the Hutong district for a rickshaw ride and dinner before returning to the Landmark. Friday 10 October Our first full day in Beijing begins with an r excursion to the beautiful Summer Palace. We take a boat ride on the large man-made lake and stroll through the grounds, which date back to Imperial times. After an included Chinese lunch we go to the Temple of Heaven. Your evening is at leisure to enjoy as you wish. Maybe sample something from the fascinating open-air food stalls on Wangfujing Avenue. Saturday 11 October We leave the hotel after an early r breakfast to visit the Ming Tombs, resting place of 13 emperors, stop for lunch and shopping at the Friendship Store and then continue on to Badaling for a real highlight of the tour the

Viewing is excellent with all grandstands having numbered seats. The Main Grandstand is covered. Especially recommended is Grandstand B, positioned on the first turn with a good view up the start/finish straight towards the grid. The main merchandising stalls are located outside of the circuit along with some refreshment facilities. Limited refreshments are available inside the circuit.
