GERMAN GRAND PRIX » 20 JULY 2008 Prices start from £349 " Choice of coach or air packages " Range of hotels in Heidelberg " Experienced Motor Racing Tour Guide RACE TICKETS The Hockenheimring was originally built in 1947 but has seen many changes during its history, not all of them popular with motor sport purists. Nevertheless it remains one of Formula Ones legends. The small town centre is within easy walking distance of the track if you wish to take a break. GIANT TV SCREENS The Hockenheim circuit is always guaranteed to bring in an enthusiastic crowd. As well as all the excitement of the race itself, the German beer and sausages, fruity wines, fairytale castles and stunning historic architecture  plus a lively nightlife  all combine to make this F1 event a really great occasion. HEIDELBERG BY COACH Depart UK: Friday 18 July 2008 No overnight travel 3 NIGHTS BY COACH FROM £349 Heidelberg is just 25 kilometres from the circuit at Hockenheim. The huge fairytale castle dominates Heidelberg, which is best known for its university. In the pedestrianised areas of the old town you will be able to join the students doing what they have done best for centuries, sipping icecold German beers or sampling the excellent wines of the Rhineland.Youll probably find yourself being entertained by Y the citys buskers and you can take a walking tour of the old town or simply wander around and soak up the atmosphere. A cruise along the river will prove a refreshing break or on Saturday visit the market in the old town and across the river in Neuenheim. Depart UK Friday 18 July Your coach will depart from central y London at 0530h for a mid-morning sailing from Dover to Calais and continue through Belgium and Germany to Heidelberg. Accommodation has been arranged on a bed and continental breakfast basis for three nights at the comfortable medium grade Hotel Neckar or similar. Saturday 19 July Today is free to enjoy as you wish in Heidelberg or join our free transfer to watch practice and qualifying at the Hockenheimring. Sunday 20 July You will leave the hotel after an early breakfast for the circuit. After the Grand Prix your coach will be waiting to return you to Heidelberg. Monday 21 July Depart from Heidelberg after breakfast for Calais and the cross channel sailing. Arrival in Dover will be early evening and the coach continues to London. GRANDSTANDS All grandstand seats are numbered and the uncovered sections are the lower rows. The circuit is over 4 miles long but most of the grandstands are located in the stadium complex. Grandstands are steep and viewing is good with the Sudtribune Grandstands giving the best overall view of the stadium area. Spectator facilities are good.
