Take a scenic drive through the Pacific Rim National Park and visit a thousand-year-old rainforest en route to Days Inn Weigh West. This comfortable hotel has great views of Clayoquot Sound. During your three-night room only stay at the resort, take a boat ride to spot such wildlife as eagles, seals, otters, puffins, grey whales and black bears, which come to feed on the peaceful shores. Then make your own discoveries: follow the wilderness trails through the forests, or simply relax on the beach. DAY 1 Vancouver Transfer to the harbour and board the Statendam for your seven-night cruise. DAY 2 Inside Passage A day of spectacular scenery awaits as we cruise past Vancouver Island and through the Inside Passage, perhaps the most dramatic stretch of North Americas Pacific coastline. Spectacular cliffs line the waters edge and forest blankets the hillsides. Watch for breaching whales, soaring eagles, shoreline grizzlies and inquisitive seals.
DAY 3 Tracy Arm & Juneau The might of Alaskas glaciers is revealed today as we cruise into Tracy Arm (weather permitting). The sheer rock walls of the fjord lead us to the imposing Sawyer Glaciers, where we have the chance to see icebergs calving and seals lounging on the floes. We continue to Juneau, Alaskas fascinating capital city. DAY 4 Skagway This tiny settlement owes its existence to the famous Klondike Gold Rush of 1898. The remaining wooden boardwalks and turn-of-the century buildings offer a reminder of those days. Take an optional trip on the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad into the mountains.
DAY 5 Glacier Bay National Park Glacier Bay is one of the scenic highlights of your cruise. With any luck you will be able to watch a glacier calve, sending thousands of tons of ice into the mirror-calm water with a thunderous roar an unforgettable experience. DAY 6 Ketchikan In this quaint mountainside town you can choose to take an optional seaplane flight over the spectacular Misty Fjords, explore the Totem Poles Park or simply enjoy a lunch of fresh Alaskan salmon. DAY 7 Inside Passage Another day of scenic splendours as we cruise back to Vancouver. DAY 8 Vancouver Disembark Statendam and enjoy some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing before transferring to the airport for our flight home. DAY 9 UK Arrive back in the UK. We have included transfers to the port after the main tour and a return transfer to the airport after your cruise.
