On arrival in Alice, a visit to Anzac Hill gives us a fine view over the parks and avenues of this desert oasis. DAY 13 Alice Springs Take an optional and truly breathtaking early morning balloon flight over the desert, then spend the day exploring Alice Springs. Visit the 19th-century Telegraph Station, the Flying Doctor base or learn more about Aboriginal culture. Tonight you are invited to a convivial bush barbecue under the stars. DAY 14 Sydney We fly to Sydney to round off our holiday in style with four nights in Australia's largest, most exciting and cosmopolitan city. DAY 15 Sydney A morning tour will help us get our bearings in Sydney as we see such signature sights as Bondi Beach, the huge arc of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the billowing sail-like roof of the Opera House. Lunch is then served on board as we take a cruise around what is surely one of the world's most beautiful harbours, passing city landmarks and luxury waterfront homes. DAY 16 The Blue Mountains We travel out of the city today to the eucalyptus-scented air of the scenic Blue Mountains to explore the landscape of sheer cliffs and waterfalls, and the forest homes of wombats, possums and wallabies. At Katoomba you can take an optional ride on the Scenic Railway to a lush secret valley. Returning to Sydney, we see the Olympic site and impressive Stadium Australia. DAY 17 Sydney Enjoy a final day in Sydney, an opportunity for shopping, riding the busy harbour ferries or, not for the faint-hearted, take the challenge of the Bridge Climb over the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge for magnificent views. DAYS 18 & 19 Sydney/UK We fly to Bangkok to connect with the flight to the UK, arriving on Day 19. YOUR HOTELS SINGAPORE Orchard Hotel (4-star), 2 nights bed and breakfast.
