From Toronto, Canada's largest city, to Quebec City, Canada's most historic, our tour of Eastern Canada takes in the mighty Niagara Falls and French speaking Montreal. There's even the opportunity for whale watching in Tadoussac.
ITINERARY DAY 1 UK/Toronto We fly to Toronto, meet our Tour Guide and transfer to our centrally located hotel for the first three nights. DAY 2 Toronto & Niagara Falls Canada's largest city, Toronto combines modern sophistication with friendly charm. Join our optional excursion today with a brief sightseeing tour of the city before a trip to the Niagara Falls. This is one of the great natural wonders of the world and an unforgettable sight. Between May and October you will have the option to ride the `Maid of the Mist' to the base of the falls. DAY 3 Toronto We have a free day to explore this cosmopolitan city. Why not take a ride to the top of the CN Tower for magnificent views over the city and Lake Ontario? At 1,815 feet it's the world's tallest freestanding structure. DAY 4 Ottawa & Montreal We make a short stop in the Canadian capital, Ottawa this morning en route to Montreal where we spend the next two nights. DAY 5 Montreal Our included morning tour will show us the highlights of this friendly city with its distinct sense of French joie de vivre. Old Montreal is charming and we see the Notre Dame Cathedral here. We continue to the Mount Royal viewpoint, offering superb views over the city; and busy Rue Ste Catherine, the main shopping street. The afternoon is free. DAY 6 Quebec City We travel north this morning to Quebec City, North America's only walled city and now a designated World Heritage Site. We have included a city tour taking in Parliament Hill, the seat of Quebec's provincial government; the famous Chateau Frontenac, rising dramatically above the city; the Basilica; and the Plains of Abraham. We spend two nights at our hotel. DAY 7 Tadoussac, Saguenay & Baie St Paul Our optional excursion takes us north of Quebec City to an area of peaceful villages, green mountains, lush forests and majestic waterways. We enjoy a whale watching cruise at Tadoussac; discover North America's second longest fjord at Saguenay; and enjoy a stroll through the narrow streets of Baie St Paul, a delightful village. DAYS 8 & 9 Quebec City/UK We transfer to Montreal airport for the homeward flight, arriving in the UK on Day 9. YOUR HOTELS TORONTO Delta Chelsea Hotel (4-star), 3 nights room only. Located in the heart of Toronto, this excellent hotel has a choice of restaurants, bars, lounge and a health club with gym and indoor pool. Guest rooms have TV, hairdrier and complimentary tea and coffee. MONTREAL Hotel Maritime Plaza (4-star), 2 nights room only. This comfortable and stylish hotel offers visitors wellappointed rooms with all the normal amenities such as a hairdrier, TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. You can choose to spend your time relaxing in the indoor heated swimming pool, on the sun-deck, or at the bar. The Bistro Beau Rivage, situated in the lobby of the hotel, also offers excellent continental cuisine, daily menus and a relaxing atmosphere. QUEBEC CITY Delta Quebec Hotel (4-star), 2 nights room only. A bistro bar and restaurant, outdoor pool and health club are just some of the facilities at this lovely hotel. All guest rooms are well-equipped, with TV and hairdrier.
