The wild and remote Northwest Passage almost at the top of the world will be one of the best places on Earth to experience the total solar eclipse on the morning of 1 August 2008
Well be aiming to position the ship as close as possible to the path of totality, to witness the surreal day-into-night-into-day experience of this rare and spectacular natural event. From the east coast of Baffin Island and the west coast of Greenland, through the Canadian Arctic, were immersed in spectacular wilderness glaciers carving through mountains to reach narrow fjords and calving breathtaking icebergs. Well visit isolated Inuit settlements to learn about these unique cultures. Wildlife is plentiful the birdlife is prolific and, with luck, well see walrus, narwhals and polar bears. Crossing back to Baffin Island, well explore Cumberland Sound and the rarelyvisited Monumental Island before ending our voyage in Resolute.

Witness total solar eclipse. prince Leopold and Beechey Islands. arrive Resolute, where your voyage ends. transfer to your charter ight to ottawa.
