Spectacular landscapes and adventure aplenty New Zealand is a thrill-seekers paradise

Despite its small size, New Zealand is incredibly blessed with natural beauty. Stunning snow-capped mountains, crumbling glaciers, spectacular sounds and whitewater rivers abound in this small nation. With a population of just 4 million, its a haven for those seeking peace, rejuvenation and relaxation as well as a playground for adventurers. The Maori people named New Zealand Aotearoa (Land of the Long White Cloud) and its an apt name for this magical country. With the mystical mist hanging in the sky, its not hard to imagine hobbits and elves making their homes among the rolling green hills, steaming volcanoes and snowy peaks. The 15,000-kilometre coastline surrounding New Zealand is dotted with picturesque harbours, wild surf beaches and tranquil inlets, making it a wonderful place to explore. In the rainforest, the mighty kauri trees dominate. Soaring up to 50 metres in height, some of these trees are believed to be more than 1000 years old. Of course, New Zealand is best known for its adventure activities. For visitors with a taste for excitement, jet boats, kayaks and mountain bikes are just the thing for an exhilarating experience. And if youre ready for a serious challenge, the massive bulk of Aoraki/Mount Cook awaits.
