Aoraki/Mount Cook One to One' Expedition 7 Days
The local Maori people gave this mountain the name Aoraki, meaning cloud piercer', and it's not hard to see why. Lying between the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean and soaring 3000 metres into the atmosphere, the massive bulk of Aoraki/ Mount Cook is breathtaking. The mountain presents a significant mountaineering challenge. Skill, physical endurance and respect are all required if we are to reach its summit. On this one to one' guided climb of Aoraki/Mount Cook we allow seven days for our attempt on the summit. We fly in to Plateau Hut (2200m) to maximise the time we have to spend in the mountains and therefore our chance of a successful ascent.
Ascend New Zealand's highest peak and take in the view above the clouds
