THE TREKKING EXPERIENCE An experienced Peregrine leader heads a highly professional team of guides and porters on all treks and expeditions, and they ensure you have a safe, relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The guides, provided on a high guide-to-client ratio, walk with you during the day, provide local knowledge and allow you the freedom to set your own pace on the trail. On our camping treks the guides set up and break camp. Our cooking crews, whether in lodges or on camping treks, are talented and produce an amazing variety of tasty and nourishing meals. They can cater for most dietary requirements, and their strict attention to hygiene ensures your peace of mind and body. Porters, yaks or ponies carry the main loads, leaving you to carry a small daypack, with water, camera and any essentials you might need during the day. Importantly, we never take short cuts and we always allow extra time for exploration, interaction with the locals, delays due to weather, and proper acclimatisation. On 19 May 2006 Pasang fulfilled his lifelong ambition of summitting Everest. Pasang mainly leads our climbing and exploratory trips. He comes from the Solu region of the Everest area but has travelled widely having lived in Bhutan and India as well as Nepal. He has worked for Peregrine for many years and has an excellent knowledge of the Himalayan peoples, their customs and folklore.
