Rajasthan, the Land of Kings, is the quintessential Indian state. Walled cities, forts and palaces are dramatic reminders of the rich cultural heritage and history of the region. Amazing legends from a bygone era bring us tales of romance and heroism of the Rajput warriors who ruled the region for nearly a thousand years. Our journey takes us to the fairytale cities of Jaipur, Pushkar, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, as well exploring lesserknown villages such as Nimaj. Our exploration of the hauntingly beautiful sand dunes of the Thar Desert on an exciting overnight camel safari is yet another highlight on this superb adventure.

Highlights of North India 11 Days
Discover the mystic beauty, majestic architecture and stunning diversity of exotic northern India
Northern India is a vivid kaleidoscope of landscapes, colourful people, magnificent historical sites and fascinating cultures. Commencing in Delhi, we head to the capital of Rajasthan the Pink City of Jaipur. A highlight of our stay in this fascinating city is visiting the huge Amber Fort. We then explore the deserted city of Fatephur Sikri and the Taj Mahal, the inimitable symbol of love that showcases the architectural glories of the Mughal Empire. The romance continues with the erotic temples of Khajuraho, which we visit before journeying by train to the city of Varanasi, on the banks of the sacred Ganges River. Here we experience the life and death rituals of Hindu devotees, as we float down the holy river on an early morning boat ride. We finish our tour in bustling Delhi, a city of incredible diversity that epitomises India, old and new.
